Bullfighting

Are you planning a holiday trip to Valencia and would you like to experience a bullfighting in Spain? In Valencia there are several possibilities during the whole year through to experience a bullfighting spectacle among others during Fallas, the celebration of the “Virgen de los Desamparados”, (or virgin of the people that need help) and during the July festival.

Fallas 2011

Are you going to Valencia during Fallas 2011 and would you like to see a bullfighting spectacle? From 12-20 March, there are bullfighting spectacles on a daily base in the Plaza de Toros of Valencia.

Virgen de los Desamparados

The Virgen de los Desamparados, or the virgen of the people that need help, is the patron saint of the city Valencia. In honor of this patron saint there will take place bullfighting’s on Saturday the 7th of May and on Sunday the 8th of May.

Time

The majority of the bullfighting’s take place at 17.00 hour, but there are some bullfighting spectacles which take place at 11.30 hour.

Price

Prices vary enormously, namely from 11 euro – 140 euro. The price depends among others on if you choose for a place in the sun or in the shadow. If you choose for a spot in the shadow you normally pay a higher price. This is due to that it can be quit warm sitting in the sun for some time and at these moments the shadow is definitely more comfortable. Another factor is the distance of the spectacle, if you prefer to sit first row, you will pay a higher price.

Furthermore you can buy tickets at the points of sale of the Plaza the Toros (bullfighting square) in Valencia starting from the 28th of February from 10.00 – 14.00 hour and from 17.00 – 20.00 hour. On holidays the cash registers are open during the whole day, from 10.00 hour.
