Metro
If you are making a city trip to Valencia, it is good to know that Valencia has a very good metro network. That makes it easy to travel to various places within Valencia.
From the airport
From the moment you arrive and have taken your luggage from the moving – belt conveyer till arriving in the city centre of Valencia takes normally 25-30 minutes in metro. Between 05.29 and 22.29 hour are 2 metro lines operative, namely line 3 (red) and line 5 (green). Almost every 7 minutes there is a metro that goes direction centre Valencia. Within approximately 20 minutes you are in the city centre of Valencia.
Prices
The prices depend on the number of zones within you are travelling. If you are travelling from the airport of Valencia to the city centre, you are travelling through zone A & B. If you travel in zone A, the price of a metro ticket is € 1, 45 and if you travel in zone AB (airport Valencia – City centre), the price will be € 2 for a one way ticket. You can buy a ticket at a ticket machine or at the office window.

Approximately between 05.30 hour and 22.30 hour you can take the metro.

Tips
• If you are planning to travel more often with the metro during your stay in Valencia, you might want to choose for a card with more tickets on it (Bono Metro). You can buy this card at a metro station. The price depends on the number of zones you choose. If you are only travelling in the city centre and to the beach, than an A zone card is enough. (keep in mind that you cannot use this card for going to the airport (zone AB)) A card with more tickets on it (10x) will finally be cheaper than to buy every time a ticket. A Bono Metro can be used by various persons.
